

Dr.Crokes have retained the Kerry Petroleum Senior Club Football Championship.



The final at Austin Stack Park, Tralee saw them defeat Na Gaeil 0-20 to 1-12.
Tony Brosnan put Crokes ahead by 2 points to 1 after 3 minutes. Crokes led 4 to 1 inside 7 minutes. When Gavin White put over a two pointer after 12 minutes Crokes led 7 to 2. White did likewise in the 20th minute to give Crokes a 10 points to 3 advantage. Crokes were ahead at the break by 12 points to 5.



Crokes had the first 32 points of the half to go 9 clear. Na Gaeil's first point of the period brought that gap down to 8. It was double scores after 40 minutes at 14 points to 7. Gavin White made it 15 to 7 just shy of the 3/4 stage. It was double scores with 9 minutes to go at 16 points to 8. Tony Brosnan's 8th point increased the Crokes lead to 9. A Na Gaeil goal (Diarmuid O'Connor) and two pointer (Jack Sheehan) inside 60 seconds meant the gap was suddenly down to 5, with 4 minutes to go. Alex Hennigan replied with a Crokes point to make it 0-20 to 1-12 with 3 minutes to go. Crokes won by 5.
