Tralee Parnells have won the Keane's SuperValu County Minor Hurling Championship Final.


At Austin Stack Park in Tralee they got the better of Crotta O'Neill's by 2-18 to 1-10.
Crotta led by 2 points to 1 inside 3 minutes but Parnells had the next two scores to go one in front on 7 minutes. A Ryan Sheehy goal meant Parnells were ahead 1-4 to 3 points after the opening quarter. It was 1-6 to 0-4 after 20 minutes, then an Eoghan Costello goal had Parnells 8 clear. The Tralee side led 2-9 to 0-5 at half time.
Parnells were on top at the start of the second half also, hitting the first 3 points of the period. It was 2-13 to 0-6 after 40 minutes. Parnells led 2-14 to 0-10 at the three quarter stage. Crotta netted with 4 minutes to go, the strike from Oisin Heaton making it 2-18 to 1-10. Crotta finished the game with 13 men.
