Kerry’s David Clifford is expected to be named Footballer of the Year tonight.
The Fossa forward is a hot favourite to receive the accolade after a season which saw him star in the Kingdom’s All-Ireland Senior Football Championship success.
Kerry team-mate Joe O’Connor and Donegal’s Michael Murphy are the other 2 nominees.

Both Clifford and O’Connor are up for All Star awards tonight, as are Paudie Clifford, Sean O’Shea, Gavin White, Jason Foley, Brian Ó Beaglaíoch, Mike Breen and Shane Ryan.
