Australia named as preferred candidate to host 2029 World Cup

Australia has been named as the preferred candidate to host the 2029 Women's Rugby World Cup.

World Rugby made the announcement ahead of a series of meetings to determine the hosting model for the tournament.

A final vote will be held in Dublin in May.
