2nd Irish Open title for McIlroy

Rory McIlroy is the Irish Open champion for the second time in his career.

The county Down native beat Joakim Lagergren in a play-off yesterday, after both players finished on 17 under par at the K Club.

Shane Lowry was in a tie for 15th on seven-under-par, while Tom McKibbin was six-under.

Alex Maguire was back on level par.
