A young Tralee woman has been sent forward for trial accused of laundering almost €35,000.
20-year-old Jennifer Dunkova, of Fountain Court, Tralee, was sent forward for trial at a recent sitting of Tralee District Court.
Ms Dunkova was sent forward on the single charge in the book of evidence.
That charge is she engaged in converting/transferring/handling/acquiring/possessing/using property that is the proceeds of crime, while knowing or being reckless as to whether the property was the proceeds of crime.
The property concerned is almost €35,000, which was allegedly credited to a bank account held by Ms Dunkova in ten transactions in the space of a week, in October 2024.
Sergeant Chris Manton said the Director of Public Prosecutions had directed trial on indictment, and the book of evidence was served on Ms Dunkova.
Sgt Manton said there was no objection to bail, and legal aid was granted.
Judge David Waters sent her forward for trial to the next sittings of Tralee Circuit Court on the single charge of money laundering.
