The young man who died following a drowning accident in Killarney last week will be laid to rest today.
Pádraig ‘Paudie’ O’Rahilly of Calfmount, Headford, who was in his 20s, died following the tragic incident last Wednesday.
Emergency services were alerted that a man had got into difficulty in the water in the River Flesk, and Mr O’Rahilly was removed from the water and pronounced dead at the scene.
His requiem mass will take place this morning at 11 in the Sacred Heart Church, Barraduff.
Mr O’Rahilly will be laid to rest afterwards in Kilquane cemetery.
