Work has begun on the €100 million redevelopment of the Dunloe Hotel & Gardens.
Demolition works are underway at the five-star hotel near the Gap of Dunloe.
It is scheduled for completion in the second half of 2028.
The redeveloped resort will feature 97 guestrooms and suites, a new spa, and dining facilities, including a new Italian-themed restaurant.
It will also offer state-of-the-art conference and events facilities.
Management claims the €100 million investment represents one of the most significant hospitality investments in Ireland in recent years
The intention is to turn the property into one of Ireland’s leading luxury resort destinations
The project team includes Kenmare-based KPH as the main contractor, Kerry and Dublin-based Gottstein Architects, led by Achim Gottstein, and Swiss hospitality specialists Monoplan.
The Dunloe was originally opened in 1963 by Hans Liebherr
The Dunloe will form part of the Liebherr family’s Killarney Hotels Collection, which also includes The Europe Hotel & Resort, and Ard na Sidhe Country House
