Woman who died following traffic collision near Castleisland on Wednesday named locally

The woman who died following a road traffic collision near Castleisland on Wednesday night (10th December) has been named locally.

Patricia (Pat) Keane O'Connor from Castleisland was seriously injured in a single-vehicle collision on the N23 at Lisheenbaun.

St.Pauls Basketball Club in Killarney paid tribute to Ms Keane O'Connor, who passed away at University Hospital Kerry on Sunday.

In a statement online, the club said its members were 'deeply saddened', describing Ms Keane O’Connor, who was in her 70s, as "a wonderful supporter" and "proud and generous sponsor over many years".

The statement continued that "her kindness will never go unnoticed and will always be remembered"
