A woman has been arrested following a serious public offence in Tralee.
This incident happened on Mitchels Road in Tralee just before 11pm last night.
Gardaí have issued an appeal for witnesses to this incident, which they say was a serious public order incident.
Radio Kerry understands around 20 people were involved in this fight on Mitchels Road.
A woman in her 40s was arrested and was taken to a Garda Station in the county; she is currently being detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.
Gardaí say a number of individuals, both men and women, have been taken to hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries sustained during the incident.
A vehicle as well as other items were seized by Gardaí.
A technical examination of the scene has been conducted and the investigation is ongoing.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone with information in relation to this incident to come forward.
Anyone who was in the Mitchels Road area of Tralee between 10:30pm and 10:50pm last night is asked to contact investigating Gardaí.
Anyone with camera footage, including mobile phone and dash-cam, is also asked to make it available to investigating Gardaí.
