Wettest winter in Valentia in five years

Valentia Observatory recorded the wettest winter of any Irish weather station in the country.

Met Éireann says 625 millimetres of rain fell between December and February at the south Kerry station; its wettest winter in five years.

There were 71 wet days and 24 very wet days during the period in Valentia.
