The HSE says West Kerry Community Hospital is now operating at its full capacity with the opening of more beds in recent days.
The lack of available bedspace at the centre for older people near Dingle, has been highlighted by local representatives.
The current capacity of the centre is 46 residents, and the HSE says all 46 beds are now operational, with the last two beds having opened today.
HSE South West says bed capacity is configured around adequate staffing levels and an appropriate staff skill-mix has to be in place.
It says it continues to work towards providing additional beds at West Kerry Community Hospital so it can provide an enhanced service for the local community.
