Valentia Observatory sets new record after temperatures hit 30 degrees yesterday

Valentia Observatory in South Kerry has set a new record after temperatures rose to 30 degrees yesterday.

Met Éireann says this is a provisional recording and the previous record for Valentia was 29.8C recorded in August 1955.

This comes as Kerry comes under another yellow alert for high temperatures today.
