Valentia Observatory has recorded its wettest July since 2009.   According to Met Eireann, almost 126 millimetres of rain fell at the south Kerry weather

Valentia Observatory has recorded its wettest July since 2009.

 

According to Met Eireann, almost 126 millimetres of rain fell at the south Kerry weather station last month; well above the July average of 99 millimetres.

The month's wettest day was also recorded at Valentia with 54.5 millimetres on the 29th; its wettest July day since 1940.

Nine days were classed as very wet and there were 13 dull days.

 

The average temperature for July at Valentia was 14.2 degrees; over one degree below the 15.3 monthly average.
