Upgrade works to Tralee’s water infrastructure are expected to start next week.
Uisce Éireann will replace almost 5km of ageing water mains, beginning at Oakpark Road, progressing to the R556, before finishing at Racecourse Road.
The project aims to reduce disruption and ensure a more reliable water supply for home and businesses across Tralee.
In addition to the new pipes, connections will be made from the public water main on the road to customers’ property boundaries, linking them to the customers’ water supply.
The national utility says to deliver the works safely, a traffic management system will be in place with local and emergency access maintained.
A night working period has also been granted by Kerry County Council.
The project is due to get underway next week and is expected to be completed in Spring 2027.
