Up to 10,000 homes and businesses affected by burst water main in Tralee

Up to 10,000 homes and businesses have been affected by a large burst water main in Tralee.

Uisce Eireann is working to restore supply after the water main on the Lisloose reservoir burst earlier this morning.

Areas affected by the unplanned outage include Tralee town, Clogerbrine, Mounthawk, Caherslee, Spa, Churchill, Knockanish, Ballyroe, Blennerville, Curraheen and surrounding areas.

Crews are on site and have commenced work, but due to the complex nature of the fault, Uisce Eireann estimate it will take a number of hours to repair.
