Up to 10,000 homes and business have been affected by a large burst water main in Tralee.
Uisce Éireann is currently working to restore supply after the water main on the Lisloose reservoir burst earlier this morning.
Areas affected by the unplanned outage include Tralee town, Clogerbrine, Mounthawk, Caherslee, Spa, Churchill, Knockanish, Ballyroe, Blennerville, Curraheen and surrounding areas.
Uisce Éireann expect that repairs will be completed by 11 o’clock tonight.
Speaking on the outage, Independent Cllr Sam Locke said the frequency of burst water mains in Tralee is 'unnacceptable' and 'should have been addressed a long time ago'.
