UHK appeals for people to only visit ED in emergency due to overcrowding

Management at University Hospital Kerry is asking members of the public to only attend the hospital in the case of a genuine emergency.

It says it's currently experiencing overcrowding due to increased presentations with a variety of complex needs.

Management at the hospital is advising that, where possible, a GP or SouthDoc out of hours service be consulted in the first instance.
