The typical diner at Tralee Soup Kitchen is changing.
Established in October 2011 in response to the economic crisis, the kitchen was initially expected to be needed for around six months, but has now been operating for 14 years.
They provide free three-course meals to between 100 and 120 people from noon and two every Saturday.
It's a drop-in service with no booking required.
Founder of Tralee Soup Kitchen, Collette Price, says, at first, it was intended for homeless people.
She says it now serves a diverse group, including those working full-time but struggling to cope with the cost of living:
The kitchen relies on community support, including regular donations and volunteer efforts
Ms Price says the best way to contribute financially, is to pay into Tralee Food Kitchen's account at Terry's Butchers on Oakpark Road in the town, which supplies all their meat.
The kitchen is open to all, regardless of denomination.
