Two newly graduated gardaí are to be assigned to the Kerry Garda Division.
193 new Gardaí, of which 134 are men and 59 are women, became sworn members of the force today.
The southern region will be allocated 14 new Gardaí, with two newly sworn officers to be deployed in Tralee.
Meanwhile, over 200 are set to enter Templemore next week, bringing the total number of current trainees to over 600.
The allocation of new Gardaí to Kerry has been welcomed by Equality Minister Norma Foley, Fine Gael Senator Mike Kennelly, and Fianna Fáil Deputy Michael Cahill.
Meanwhile, the Garda Commissioner says the force is close to having a record number of sworn members.
