Two Kerry photographers have been honoured in the world’s largest free photography competition.
This year’s CEWE Photo Award received 656,547 entries.
David Morrison from Ballybunion and Ferg Flannery From Dingle both placed in the Top 1000 entries worldwide.
Mr Morrison was recognised for two images “Ballybunion Dippers take on a Wave”, showing a group of locals swimming, and “Like a Pea in a Pod”, a shot of a lone swimmer alongside dolphins.
While, Mr Flannery was honoured for “Setting Sail”, an image he took in Málaga.
Both photographers’ achievements will be on display at a free exhibition in Dublin’s Chocolate Factory on 12 and 13 September.
The event, hosted in partnership between CEWE and the Irish band Picture This, will bring together the band’s fan photo shortlist alongside a showcase of Irish CEWE Photo Award entries, including Mr Morrison’s and Mr Flannery’s.
