Two Kerry men have placed in competitions on the first day of the National Ploughing Championships.
The 94th annual championships got underway yesterday at Screggan, Tullamore, in Offaly.
Aeneas Horan finished second in the Vintage 2 Furrow Trailer yesterday.

Michael O’Halloran also placed second in the Intermediate Reversible Plough Class.
Competitions in various ploughing classes continue across today and tomorrow.
