Tributes are being paid around the kingdom to the late Pope Francis.
The 88 year old passed away this morning, after greeting the public yesterday for Easter Sunday.
The Diocese of Kerry has acknowledged his passing saying he brought the Gospel message to life, with energy, passion, and a deep commitment.
Mass will be celebrated in memory of Pope Francis in St John’s Parish, Tralee this Wednesday (April 23rd) at 7pm.
Minister for Children, Disability and Equality and Kerry TD Norma Foley has also paid tribute to the late pontiff.
Minister Foley says he was a man of extraordinary compassion, humility, and dedication to the service of others.
