The trial began yesterday in Limerick of a man accused of murdering his brother in Castleisland.
Fergus O’Connor with an address at Scartaglen is alleged to have killed his brother Pádraig ‘Paudie’ O’Connor at 32 An Caisleán Mór, Castleisland on June 28th last year.
The 42-year-old denies the charge.
The court was shown CCTV footage which showed the siblings drinking in pubs in Castleisland hours before it’s alleged Mr O’Connor murdered his brother.
The jury was also shown photographic evidence from 32 An Caisleán Mór where it’s alleged the murder took place.
This included an image of the deceased lying across a path covered with a blood-stained duvet.
The case continues at the Central Criminal Court sitting in Limerick before Judge Melanie Greally.
