A Tralee woman has been recognised as an inspiration for her work in the area of mental health.
Dr Susan Lawlor co-founded the State of Mind organisation in Ireland with her late brother, Dr Martin Lawlor, who died in 2018.
Susan Lawlor received the Inspiring Female Founder Award at the Female Founder Awards Ireland and Northern Ireland 2026, held in Dublin.
These awards recognise and celebrate the women shaping the future of business across Ireland, the UK, Europe and America.
Dr Lawlor says this award means so much, adding it represents every challenge faced behind the scenes, every difficult decision, every setback that demanded resilience, and every moment where giving up would have been easier than continuing forward.
She dedicated her award to her late mother Noreen and her late brother Martin for their support, guidance and inspiration over the years.
