A Tralee volunteer has been honoured at the Irish Red Cross National Volunteer Awards.
Elena Barry was named Newcomer of the Year at the award ceremony in Croke Park over the weekend.
She joined the Tralee branch last year and has since become their Youth Officer.

Chairman of the Irish Red Cross, Charlie Flanagan, said the awards were an opportunity to recognise the hard work and commitment of volunteers.
