A Tralee teenager has still not received a date for urgent scoliosis surgery, despite being told it will happen within six to twelve weeks.
In February last year, 14-year-old Daniel Collins was listed for the operation, but has been on the waiting list since.
After a scan in March, the family were told Daniel’s spine curvature is now at 95%; and that he will require two surgeries.
His mother Louise says the family were told after the scan that the surgery will happen in the next six to twelve weeks; but have received no update.
