Tralee teenager's mother says life is on hold as no date received yet for urgent scoliosis surgery

A Tralee teenager has still not received a date for urgent scoliosis surgery, despite being told it will happen within six to twelve weeks.

In February last year, 14-year-old Daniel Collins was listed for the operation, but has been on the waiting list since.

After a scan in March, the family were told Daniel’s spine curvature is now at 95%; and that he will require two surgeries.
