Tralee Taxi Association has expressed its disappointment that temporary taxi ranks will not be in place during Feile Thrá Lí.
A statement from the group claims Kerry County Council cited health and safety concerns around the provision of the zone.
Tralee Taxi Association says availability of cabs in the town centre will be severely impacted during the festival.
The statement outlined that Bridge Lane and Casement Station will be the only operational taxi ranks during the period, but local taxi companies can be contacted by phone and email.
Radio Kerry has contacted Kerry County Council for comment.
