A residential care centre in Kerry has received a positive report from the Health Information and Quality Authority.
Laccabeg Accommodation Service in Tralee is a care facility for adults with intellectual disabilities and mental health needs.
HIQA carried out an unannounced inspection of the centre on January 12th, across 18 categories of the Health Act 2007.

It was found to be fully compliant in 15, and substantially compliant in 3 areas - training and staff development; premises; and individual assessment and personal plan.
Overall, the health watchdog noted residents had a good quality of life, and staff supported residents with personal development and activities.
