A Tralee councillor has called for vape shops to reconsider their store fronts in order to deter children from purchasing their products.
The motion was put forward by Fine Gael Cllr Anglie Bailey at the recent meeting of Tralee Municipal District.
She said the appearance of vape shops in the town are still too colourful and appealing to young people.
She said no measure is too much when it comes to protecting children’s health.
Cllr Bailey called for Kerry County Council to contact vape shops in the local area and request that they modify their store fronts.
The motion was seconded by Cllr Mikey Sheehy.
