The CEO of Tralee Chamber Alliance says politicians need to stop kite-flying when it comes to the further reopening of society and businesses.
Ken Tobin was speaking following media reports and interviews with the Minister for Health Stephen Donnelly outlining uncertainty due to the Delta variant of COVID-19.
Mr Tobin says if the July 5th date for reopening indoor dining was seriously in doubt, it would be officially announced by now.
He is highly critical of such comments from Minister Donnelly and other politicians, saying they create concern which leads to cancellations and this puts even more pressure on businesses.
Ken Tobin says business only need to hear clear plans now:
Paul Treyvaud, owner of Treyvaud's Restaurant in Killarney, is angry over the uncertainty regarding the further reopening of the economy.
