Kerry County Council has issued temporary road closures to facilitate the holding of the Tralee StreetFest 2025, or Feile Thra Lí.
The festival runs from tomorrow August 15th to Wednesday August 20th and will comprise of over 60 hours of free entertainment coinciding with the Rose of Tralee.
Temporary road closures ahead of Feile Thrá Lí will be in effect from 6pm this evening.
The R875 comprising of Bridge St, the Mall and The Square will be closed from 6pm this evening until 6am on Wednesday August 20th to facilitate public entertainment and market stalls.
There will be a full closure on the slip road on the John Joe Sheehy road from Chutes Lane eastbound adjacent to Austin Stack Park from 6 to 8.45 pm on Saturday.
Another full closure will be on R551 Russell Street and Bridge Street to it's junction with Bridge Lane, and southbound traffic will be diverted at the junction of Lower Rock Street and Pembroke Street to facilitate the closure from 11am to 6pm on Sunday
On Saturday evening from 8.30 to 9.30 there will be rolling closures on the John Joe Sheehy Road, Boherbue and Upper Castle Street.
Rolling closures will also be in place on Sunday afternoon from 2.30 to 3.30 on Brewery Road, Upper to Lower Rock Street, Russel Street and from Bridge Street to the Mall.
Finally, Lower Castle Street, Denny Street and Ivy Terrace will be closed from 5pm to 1.30am on Friday, from 5pm to midnight on Saturday, from 11am to 12 midnight on Sunday and as well as 7pm to 1.30am on Monday and Tuesday.
A traffic diversion system will operate on the main approaches to the town.
