A member of a tourism body in Kerry is welcoming the announcement that over 1,400 jobs will be created for the Ryder Cup in Adare.
Mike Buckley is a board member of the Kerry Tourism Industry Federation, involved with the Discover Kerry Ryder Cup campaign.
The Ryder Cup will take place in Adare Manor in September 2027.
Yesterday, Minister for Sport Patrick O’Donovan announced 1,450 jobs will be created for the event.
These jobs will be created between the provision of infrastructure, as well as during and after the event.
