Three men have been praised for saving the life of a woman whose house was on fire in North Kerry yesterday.
Around midday yesterday, the men saw smoke coming from a house at Harty’s Terrace in Ballyheigue.
They quickly ran to the house to see if anyone was inside the house.
They helped a woman, who owned the house, out to safety, before it went up in flames; her home was destroyed in the blaze.
Fire appliances from Tralee and Ballybunion attended the scene and brought the fire under control.
Fianna Fáil councillor Michael Leane, who is from Ballyheigue, praised the men and the emergency services.
