The number of adults accessing emergency homeless accommodation in Kerry has risen again.
That’s according to the Department of Housing’s Monthly Homelessness Report.
76 adults in Kerry accessed state funded emergency accommodation during the week between 20 and 26 April.
The latest figures from the Department of Housing show over 17-and-a-half-thousand (17,548) people accessed emergency accommodation in in the week between 20 and 26 April, including over 5,600 (5,604) children.
This includes 265 homeless children in Kerry and Cork.
Of the nearly 900 (897) homeless adults in the south-west region (Kerry and Cork), 64 per cent (63.9%) were men, 62 per cent (61.87%) were Irish citizens, and over half (499) were aged between 25 and 44.
