Kerry County Council have applied to retro-fit ten social houses in the Castleisland-Corca Dhuibhne MD in the last year.
That’s according to information provided at the recent municipal district meeting in response to a question from Sinn Féin councillor, Robert Brosnan.
The council’s housing department applied for the units to be retrofitted as part of the Energy Efficiency Retrofit Programme (EERP).
Five homes are in Castleisland, three of which have been completed to date; three homes in Gneeveguilla have been approved, with two fitted.
Meanwhile, applications have been made to retrofit one social housing unit in Milltown and another in Firies, with these on site.
