Temperatures hit 29 degrees in parts of Kerry

The record for the hottest May day has provisionally been broken again.

Oak Park in Carlow has recorded a provisional temperature of 29.5 degrees Celsius, exceeding yesterday's figure of 28.6 degrees at Shannon Airport.

Kerry and seven other counties remain under a status yellow high temperature warning until 6 o'clock tomorrow evening.

They are Limerick, Clare, Tipperary, Galway, Kilkenny, Laois and Offaly.

It was as high as 29 degrees in parts of the Kingdom today.

Tomás Swords asked people in Tralee and in the town park what they like most about Kerry in the sun.
