The record for the hottest May day has provisionally been broken again.
Oak Park in Carlow has recorded a provisional temperature of 29.5 degrees Celsius, exceeding yesterday's figure of 28.6 degrees at Shannon Airport.
Kerry and seven other counties remain under a status yellow high temperature warning until 6 o'clock tomorrow evening.
They are Limerick, Clare, Tipperary, Galway, Kilkenny, Laois and Offaly.
It was as high as 29 degrees in parts of the Kingdom today.
