Taoiseach says new junior minister will be appointed to replace Michael Healy-Rae

The Taoiseach has committed to replacing Michael Healy-Rae in his role as the Minister of State with Responsibility for Forestry, Horticulture and Farm Safety.

The independent TD for Kerry resigned as a junior minister to vote no confidence in the government in April, over its response to fuel protests.

Micheál Martin was speaking at the launch of Kerry Dairy Ireland's rebranding as Kinisla in Listowel yesterday.

Also in attendance was Minister for Agriculture Martin Heydon.
