Swimming bans at two South Kerry beaches have been lifted.

On Sunday, Kerry County Council announced the bathing and swimming prohibitions at White Strand and Cuas Crom beaches in Cahersiveen.

This followed a deterioration in water quality following heavy rainfall.

The bans remained in place until further testing took place, but Kerry County Council has announced they’ve now been lifted with immediate effect.
