Students from three Kerry schools will represent the county at the National Finals of the Student Enterprise Awards.
Students from across the county showcased their business skills at the Kerry County Council Student Enterprise Awards in the MTU.
More than twenty mini-businesses were set up by second-level students as part of the programme.
The winner of the Senior Category was St Brendan’s College Killarney with their company Duckers Designs – which are handmade wooden products. This company was set up by Finn O’Neill, Colm O’Connor and Diarmuid O’Sullivan.
Castleisland Community College student Katie Walsh was the winner of the Intermediate Category with her company Eyes for All – which is a booklet offering advice and support in education for visually impaired.
The Junior level winner was Stella Sprays – which is spray painting on canvas and was set up by Loughran Larkin and Michael Jooste.
The three winning teams will now represent Kerry at the National Student Enterprise Finals in Mullingar this May.
Grace O’Sullivan from Community College Killorglin won the Entrepreneurial Educator of the Year award and the Best School Award was won by Colaiste na Ríochta, Listowel.
