Students from the primary school attended by Jessie Buckley have spoken of their great pride of the past pupil.

The Best Actress Oscar nominee attended Scoil Bhríde, Loreto National School in Killarney.

Teacher Padraig O’Sullivan says Jessie is a brilliant role model and inspiration for all the pupils there, showcasing that anything can be achieved.

Students have created banners and posters wishing her luck in the Academy Awards - with messages including, you sat here, you played here, you imagined here.
