Storm Bram is set to bring rain and wind to Kerry today and tomorrow.
Weather warnings are in place for Kerry, with Met Éireann warning of very strong winds and flooding.
A status yellow rain warning comes into effect for Kerry from 9 o’clock tonight until 9am tomorrow morning.
Met Éireann is warning of heavy rain falling on already saturated ground, with possible impacts including river flooding, surface water, and difficult travelling conditions.
A status yellow warning for wind is also in effect from 3am tomorrow.
This becomes a status orange wind warning for Kerry between 7am and 3pm.
Met Éireann says Storm Bram will bring very strong to gale force southerly winds, with the strongest winds along the coast.
The national meteorological service is warning of potential flooding, wave overtopping, difficult travel conditions, and debris or loose objects displaced.
The yellow weather warning for wind then remains in place for the whole country until 9pm tomorrow.
Kerry County Council says due to the likelihood of wave overtopping tomorrow, vehicular access to Rossbeigh beach and car park is now closed in the interest of public safety.
The council says members of the public are advised to avoid parking near coasts tomorrow.
