Met Éireann has issued a status yellow thunderstorm warning for Kerry and Galway.
The warning came into effect at seven minutes to nine this morning (08:53am) and will remain in place until midday (12:00).
The thunderstorm is moving eastwards and will bring heavy downpours at times with the slight chance of hail.

Localised spot flooding is possible and road users are told to expect difficult travelling conditions.
