A Status Yellow thunderstorm warning's been issued for Kerry.
The alert, which is also in place for Limerick, Waterford and Wexford is active until 7pm today.
Meanwhile, Cork is under a Status Orange thunderstorm warning until 4 o clock this afternoon.
Separately, eight counties in the midlands, west and south - including Kerry - are under a Status Yellow high temperature warning until 6pm.
Met Éireann is forecasting highs of 31 degrees.
