A status yellow weather warning has been issued for Kerry for Friday.
The alert for rain for the county, which is also in place for Cork and Waterford comes into effect from 9am tomorrow.
Separately, Donegal, Galway, Leitrim, Mayo and Sligo will come under a yellow alert for wind from midday tomorrow.
Both warnings are expected to last until 9pm on Friday.
Met Éireann says heavy rain, localised flooding, difficult travelling conditions and some fallen trees and branches are expected.
