Skellig Michael to reopen to visitors this month

Skellig Michael will reopen to visitors later this month.

The announcement was made today by the Minister of State with responsibility for the OPW, Patrick O’Donovan and has been welcomed by Fine Gael TD for Kerry Brendan Griffin.

Minister O’Donovan said the UNESCO World Heritage Site is very important to tourism in South and West Kerry.

He said the OPW will be working for the next few weeks to ensure the island is safe for visitors with the aim of reopening on Monday the 21st of June.
