Listowel Writers’ Week have announced their shortlist for the Kerry Group Irish Novel of the Year Award.
Colm Tóibín, Joseph O’Connor, Donal Ryan, Niall Williams, and Christine Dwyer Hickey have been shortlisted.
The award, in its 31st year celebrates fiction from Irish writers.

€20,000 will be awarded to the winner and €500 for each shortlisted author, sponsored by Kerry Group.
The winner will be announced on Wednesday, 28th May, at the festival opening night event in the Listowel Arms Hotel.
