A Fine Gael Senator says a new above-the-shop grant can fast track homes in Kerry.
Mike Kennelly was responding after new supports were announced by Housing Minister James Browne.
Under the continuation of the vacant property refurbishment grant, new funding has been announced to convert upper floors which have been vacant for two years.
Senator Kennelly says this is an opportunity to bring a new lease of life for all parts of Kerry.
He says the bringing residents back to our town centres will strengthen local businesses, increase footfall and improve overall safety.
