The second national road safety conference and exhibition is taking place in Killarney today and tomorrow.
The two-day ‘Safer Roads’ convention is hosted by Kerry County Council in association with Transport Infrastructure Ireland.
Over 300 delegates will gather at the Gleneagle Arena to listen to twenty-eight keynote speakers and four panel discussions.
The Safer Roads conference will focus on all aspects of road safety including road design, enforcement, driver behaviour, technology, cycling, e-mobility and scramblers, as well as active and sustainable travel.
Head of Road Safety at Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII), Alastair de Beer, says the conference has quickly become a national event for Ireland’s road safety experts.
