Kerry County Council says drawings are being finalised for a new pedestrian bridge in Dingle.
The information was provided in response to a question from Fianna Fáil councillor Breandán Fitzgerald at the recent Castleisland-Corca Dhuibhne MD meeting.
He sought an update on plans for a pedestrian footbridge at Milltown Bridge in the town.
The council said its provision was included in an assessment for infrastructural improvements on the Wild Atlantic Way.
It added once drawings are finalised, the project will move to the statutory planning process and funding sources will be required for construction.
